The gala premiere of the sacral pop concert – MASS MEDITERRANEAN, authored by Tonči Huljić and Hana Huljić was held on August 6th in Split. Loud applause and enthusiasm of the audience confirmed that about 40 musicians arranged on the steps of the Meštrović Gallery prepared a true musical spectacle!
In many ways, this specific and unique spectacle was followed by representatives of all religious communities: Catholic, Orthodox and Muslim, as well as the highest state officials.
MEDITERRANEAN POP MASS, lasting 45 minutes, which received the approval of the Catholic community, was performed with an orchestra, choir and soloists in three parts. The first part of the concert is the Mass of the Mediterranean – a set of Mass songs from the composer’s pen of Tonči Huljić, as well as the second part of Ave Maria, while the third part: Dies Irae – was written, orchestrated and sang Hana Huljić accompanied by a female choir. They could be heard well-known instruments that are also known in the work of the band Madre badessa, mandolin, accordion, flamenco guitar…

Many people will have the opportunity to listen to the Mediterranean Pop Mass, considering the fact that the performance is planned in other cities in Croatia, and also abroad.
